The Ultimate Review On Mangools: The Best, The Worst, and More!

by Manas Chowdhury
12 minutes read

If you are in the hunt for an affordable alternative to enterprise SEO tools that saves dollar bills yet get the job done, Mangools is the one.

But, before you pay that $238 for a year, it’s wise to first find out if this tool will work for you.

That’s where this review comes in.

We have got you covered with:

  • Detailed review of each tool
  • A walk through it’s interface and customer support
  • Pricing analysis
  • Complied with rating on different review sites
  • Alternatives suggestions
  • And a verdict you shouldn’t miss.

Time to kick off this review!

What is Mangools & how does it work?

Mangools is a comprehensive SEO tool that started with KWFinder only.

Over the years, it has expanded its range of tools beyond just keyword research.

To date they have come up with five tool kits, each having a role in your SEO journey.

These five tools include:

  • KWFinder
  • SERPChecker
  • SERPWatcher
  • LinkMiner
  • SiteProfiler

The tool has an overall rating of 4.7 on different review websites.

In fact, it has positioned itself as an affordable if not better alternative to tools.

In short, you save a lot, but is it worth investing in?

You are about to find out!

Mangools Features

KWFinder

KWFinder is Mangloo’s very first tool launched in 2014.

Back then, it was very basic with little to no customization.

But, we must say, they have come a long way.

In fact, to date, it is one of the most used tools by Mangools.

Both in our experience and every opinion we have come across somehow mentions a positive review on KWFinder.

Without further ado, let’s have a look at every minute detail possible.

Generate Thousands of Keyword ideas with Mangools
  1. Search by Keywords
  2. Search by Domain

Enter your competitor URL in search by domain to get a list of keywords your competitors are targeting.

This will help you understand the keywords you are missing out on and fill thee keyword gap.

Once you get a list of keyword ideas from them, you can enter the seed keyword in “Search by Keyword”.

Here, you will get an extension of seed keywords that are directly related.

And hey, here’s another cool feature: just click on the “Questions” tab.

What does it do?

Well, it dishes out a list of keywords in the form of questions your audience is looking to answer.

Now, let’s talk numbers.

KWFinder serves a few basic metrics for users to handpick the best keywords from the list.

  • SERP Position
  • Estimated visits per month
  • Search per month
  • Difficulty
  • Average CPC
  • PPC

That’s not it.

If you are someone who learns from visuals better than studying all the metrics, Mangools has you back with Monthly Search and Trends of each keyword.

Further, you can have the SERP Overview of this list of keywords.

The SERP overview comes with plain and uncomplicated metrics like Domain Authority, Page Authority, Trust Flow, Facebook Shares ,etc.

Before we jump on to the next tool, here’s what you won’t get from Mangool’s KWFinder:

  1. Their database is no match to SEMrush or Ahrefs, so the number keywords you can get in each search is less.
  2. Not much visuals compared to competitors like SE Ranking which also has an affordable pricing although a bit higher than Mangools.

SERPChecker

Here’s how their Mangools SERPChecker works:

Enter the target keyword you want to rank for and specify the location you’re targeting.

Next what?

A click on the “Analyze SERP”.

In seconds you have the top SERP results with detailed analysis in front of you.

In the top results you will come across the following metrics:

  • Link Profile Strength (LPS)
  • Domain Authority (DA)
  • Page Authority (PA)
  • Citation Flow (CT)
  • Trust Flow (TF)

You can customize your report by enabling or disabling some of these metrics.

However, we are not sure if that’s required since you only have the top 10 SERP results to Analyze.

You can also compare your performance with competitors with the Compare Box.

Once you enter your website URL Compare Box will find your competitors and show your SERP performance alongside your competitors.

Following that you can have a detailed breakdown of each page ranking for your keyword, including a few common metrics.

Page Authority, Majestic SEO Trust Flow, Alexa ranking, and more.

What strikes me differently is their “SERP Features Impact,” metrics.

This indicates how crowded the first page is with features like ads and video results.

While SERPChecker offers a lot of data, a few metrics might not be of much help.

For example, you don’t need to know the Facebook share of each SERP result for SEO purposes, do you?

But it’s always good to look into different aspects of the top-ranking websites, including a peak to their social media.

Long story short, Mangools SERP checker offers more than enough features for anyone new to SEO.

It’s a great starting point where you can be familiar with basic metrics to level up your SEO game.

Of Course without being overwhelming with lots of data and graphs.

SERPWatcher

Why add SERPWatcher when they already have a SERP Checker?

We had the same doubts, so we thought to check if there was anything extra in this tool.

Who does this work?

You have to enter your keyword so that Mangools can help you monitor your search engine rankings for those terms.

What we liked about this tool in particular is the easy categorization.

This is a real-time saver when you have a long list of keywords to monitor.

Some of the useful metrics in this section:

  • Current rankings
  • Average positions
  • Best rankings achieved
  • Estimated monthly search volumes
  • Potential organic search traffic

The dashboard offers super easy toggling between desktop and mobile rankings of each of these keywords and even highlights the top gainers and losers among your keywords.

For freelancers and SEO agencies, SERPWatcher makes client reporting hassle-free.

You can easily share tracking reports via a link.

They can click on the link to view reports without having any credentials.

Sometimes it’s better to provide the results your clients have instead of showing them all these metrics.

In summary, Mangools’ SERPWatcher doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it offers a solid set of features that cater to the needs of SEO professionals and businesses.

It’s a dependable tool for monitoring keyword rankings and assessing SEO performance.

And, it’s actually better to have a different tool from SERP Checker as it avoids overcomplicating data in both.

LinkMiner

Honestly, we didn’t find anything new on this tool.

Everything is pretty basic. Nothing that you will find only in Mangools’ LinkMiner tool only.

Mangools does not have its own database for Link scraping.

So it takes data from Majestic SEO’s link index via API integration.

While affordable tools like Mangools tend to create their own link data, Mongool’s data can be better trusted since it’s from one of the best SEO tools.

Like any backlink analysis tool, LinkMiner allows you to view lists of backlinks directed at a specific URL or an entire domain.

You can filter out your results based on parameters like nofollow/dofollow status, Citation Flow, or Alexa ranking.

In summary, while LinkMiner may not introduce groundbreaking innovations it has essential features that are enough for beginners.

SiteProfiler

Yes, we are not completely satisfied with this one, but it’s almost good to uncover link-building opportunities and get going with your Off-page SEO.

It’s important to monitor your site’s health every now and then.

That said, Mangools’ SiteProfiler crawls through your website and does a comprehensive SEO performance assessment.

All you have to do is enter the URL.

Once you do you’ll find the site’s

  • Domain Authority
  • Page Authority
  • Citation Flow
  •  and Trust Flow.

But one thing that is missing is a score.

A score makes it way easier for one to understand their performance at first glance.

As you scroll down, informative graphs show changes in the website’s popularity rank, the number of referring IPs, and Facebook shares over time.

Honestly, not of much use.

While SiteProfiler provides a convenient way to gauge your and your competitor’s website quickly, we don’t know why there’s a separate tool when we could get these metrics in other tools by Mongools.

We won’t say that Site Profiler doesn’t offer valuable insights,

It does, but it is not a replacement for SEMrush, Ahref, or Moz.

SiteProfiler can be your side tool to have a quick overview of a domain’s key metrics.

But it won’t benefit you for long.

Mangools’ Interface

We’ve tried our fair share of keyword research tools, but there’s just something special about Mangool’s interface that keeps us hooked.

First off, it’s super easy to use.

Even if you’re a newbie in the world of SEO and keyword research, you’ll feel right at home.

This is what you see at the first glance of Mangloo’s dashboard. [Screenshot Below]

5 of its tools are neatly presented.

You don’t have to wander around to find help.

It’s right beneath your tools. Isn’t that amazing?

The layout is intuitive, and everything is where you’d expect it to be.

No head-scratching moments here!

In a nutshell, Mangool’s user interface is user-friendly, and packed with high-quality data.

Mangools’ Customer Support

Mangools offers customer support via chat and mail.

We have tried and tested both of them.

For a live chat, we came up with a difficult question.

After a few seconds, they came up with the best reply ever.

We are shocked that it could be explained in this simpler way.

But, what if you are logged out again and again or cannot access their services even after payment?

For that, we tried out their email support.

We dropped them an e-mail at info@mangools.com with a similar query and to our surprise, we got a response in a day. Their team was quite helpful as well as patient till the issue was resolved.

The only drawback is when you reach out on weekends.

Imagine being a freelancer and not being able to log in, especially when you hand in a project in a day or so.

You won’t get any help from Mangool’s end.

Overall, we give their support 9/10.

What do Mangools’ Users have to say?

“I’ve been using Mangools for six years, and even without Semrush, it’s a powerful and valuable SEO tool. The finest feature for my job is the “Local SERP Analysis” tool because it gives me an unbiased perspective on search engine results, even for cities. A useful tool to find neutral backlinks on a website is “Link Miner”. Finally, an excellent and effective tool for searching keywords in keyword research.

I’m glad for the Mangools team’s help and assistance. The fact that SERPWatcher lets you track keywords with a limit based on the quantity of terms rather than sites or projects is something I really like. Thanks to SERPWatcher, we are able to set up tracking for just 2–5 keywords across a large number of our websites.

What do Review Aggregators have to say?

Let’s say you are about to purchase a new table for your office setup.

You would check on its features, and pricing, and read a few reviews.

But most importantly you would see its rating, and genuine user reviews to make a decision.

We are sure you would do the same before subscribing to an SEO tool.

To make the process easier, we have compiled Mangool’s ratings from top Aggregators like G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot.

What do we have here?

4.6/5 that too with 56 reviews.

Awesome rating but a smaller number of users.

On Capterra we have a 4.7/5 rating from 68 users.

Almost similar to G2. Only the number of users is up by 12.

TrustPilot has the most number of users i.e. 82 and the same rating as Capterra.

We conclude from ratings on these aggregators that users find Mangools to be one of the best.

However, it is still in the shadow as there are few users compared to its competitors.

  • Lack of local map pack tracking for service area businesses.
  • Should have better integration between tools.
  • Not enough paid search information.

Final Verdict

In our experience, Mangools is one of the most underrated SEO tools.

Although it offers an array of toolkits, one we are particularly fond of is its keyword research and tracking tool.

No, it does have all those fancy metrics the big names in the industry provide, but honestly does everyone here to build an online presence need them?

Absolutely not!

If you are a blogger then having these three metrics would be more than enough for you to grow your blog.

But if you are someone who needs a lot of technical details to come up with the best strategy for yourself or your client then Mangools is not for you.

That said Mongools is suitable for you if:

  • You are a blogger
  • Have a tight budget
  • Or are exploring new domains

It does have a few drawbacks like fewer search limits, but if you can divide your analysis into days instead of doing everything in a single day, this tool can do a lot of cost-cutting.

And trust us, you won’t miss out much.
